So there I was supposed to be making a card for my niece...........

.......but it morphed into a journal page.  I couldn't stop myself!!

I have had some dylusions sprays for a few months and as some of you may have seen I have started a journal using them.  But I couldn't quite get to grips with them properly! I watched Dyan Reavley's you tube videos, but I was missing something somewhere.  Probably more like a case of rushintoitis!!  I just can't help myself, I get all excited by new thing that has arrived and need to play with it immediately and then all I end up doing is creating a mess with the occasional thing I am happy with.  So having mucked up the card I started this morning I decided to have another bash and try and figure out how to use them properly.

My aim initially was to to make some backing paper to put on the card and this I did start, however I was having so much fun with the sprays I thought let's get the hardly used journal out, practice in there and then we can come back to the card later.  (I will take some pics and upload that when it is done).

I figured out where I was going wrong and so here are a couple of stages of the page I created.  Sorry was too inky and carried away to take photos to start with

The sprays I used were all dylusions and the colours used were, lemon zest, squeezed orange, bubblegum pink, fresh lime, cherry pie and melted chocolate.  The leaf stamp is called Japanese maple and is from penny black and the phrase is from Tim Holtz just thoughts collection.

As usual please let me know what you think.  I am also thinking about doing a few videos it would be good to know whether anybody would be interested in them and if they are what they would like to see.

Thanks for looking
